Hello and welcome to Armadillo Amore! We are a small family-run business, based in Tucson, Arizona. Armadillo Amore began in 2016 as a planner sticker shop. I chose the name "Armadillo Amore," partially because I like that it started with the letter A, and partially because I have often felt like an armadillo in my life. I have wanted to hide from the world and roll into a ball because I felt so shy and vulnerable.

However, as a spirit animal, the armadillo is seen as a message to set healthy boundaries - a symbol of protection and safety. Armadillos are resilient survivors and prolific diggers. In Spanish, armadillo means “little armored one.” This special animal is strong on the outside, but tender and vulnerable on the inside.

Our mascot is Aiko the Armadillo. Aiko means "little loved one" in Japanese. She has a tough purple armor on the outside. But on the inside, she has a pink heart, full of love to share with everyone she meets. As a person goes through life, there is a time for strength and a time for tenderness.

A time to lead with the head and a time to lead with the heart. This balance is something I strive to achieve everyday as I work on all aspects of running Armadillo Amore.
